I was looking at this bag, but after reading a few reviews online about how cramped things get with two pro bodies (1D's in my case), I may be looking elsewhere. Any ideas on bags that offer this kind of dual setup, but might be a physically bigger bag? Otherwise, I'd look to sacrifice the laptop in the hopes that I could get both 1D bodies to fit with my 70-200 2.8 and 16-35. Thanks!

Re: Canon 24-70 f2.8 L II Availability Slips To July ?

Canon, I am disappoint.

Re: Introducing the F-Stop Satori EXP Backpack

YEs ?

Re: Introducing the F-Stop Satori EXP Backpack

Dan, I'm considering this pack plus a medium ICU for my backpacking trip around the world. I want to be able to carry a d700 + 70-200 and maybe 2 other lenses and perhaps a strobe, and enough clothing, to last me a week's worth of laundry. Would you consider this set up would be sufficient for this sort of plan?

Re: F-Stop Loka photo packpack and new ICUs – photo showcase

Hi Dan, thank you so much for this review, and the detailed pictures. It's really helping me make a decision. I appreciate this was published in Nov 2010 so things at F-Stop may have changed however you note in your last picture that a Medium and Small Pro ICU will fit together in the Loka but this is not listed as an option in F-Stops ICU Diagram. Could you confirm if this works?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the tip - that's good thinking! I am taking a 300mm 2.8 to Maui next week. This will be the first time I have travelled with a lens this size and this expensive. The plan is to travel with a pelican that barely falls within the airlines size restrictions for carry on (which makes me a little uneasy that someone will try telling me it's to big). I know you have a similar lens - curious how you travel with your more expensive gear - do you dare throw that in the hold, or is it always with you?

Cheers,
Markus

Re: 5D MK3 & Canon Wireless Flash System

have no comment but just need to get one also

Re: Canon 24-70 f2.8 L II Availability Slips To July ?

Fair. I would be using it for football/baseball/soccer and the occasional other assignment, so 600 (especially the Nikon) is just fantastic. Did like 500 when I shot with it a few times but when you're at the endzone and shooting 50 yards, you're under-lensed a little at 500. But first things first is the 200-400 Nikon. I just need the versatility over the 300.

I'll look forward to seeing your shots off the 500.

Re: Canon 24-70 f2.8 L II Availability Slips To July ?

Well the 600 is physically quite a bit bigger which makes it harder to carry up the mountains where I like to take a lot of photos. Also the performance of the new 500, according to the MTF charts, is off the scale even with the 1.4x teleconverter. So I think the 500mm is a good compromise for me. If a higher percentage of my work was motorsports I might pick the 600 but in reality it's only part of it.

Re: Canon 24-70 f2.8 L II Availability Slips To July ?

Might have been asked before, but why did you pick 500mm as your preferred focal length for the long glass?

Re: Pearstone Duo Battery Charger Review

It's a weird decision to not support 240v.
